Our Organic Japanese Matcha powder is grown in Kyoto, Japan. The prized, emerald coloured tea powder is produced from the hand picked, steamed and stone-ground leaves of Camellia Sinensis, the common green tea plant. This laborious method of production results in a fine powder that is ready to whisk into a delicate, creamy energising drink.
This is our finest quality, O-Koicha-grade Japanese matcha. It’s perfect for tea ceremonies and very special occasions. You can always spot proper Japanese matcha: the green should be luminous and vibrant, the texture silky and smooth, and the liquor should ping and zip around the palate. Japanese matcha is sweet and savoury, with a hefty whomp of umami, and very smooth on the finish.

Serving suggestion: Sift 1-2 teaspoons and brew in 80ºC water. Whisk or stir until a rich foam develops. Drink within 3 minutes. Also being characterized by a rich body that allows it to be mixed into premium blended drinks, making a great choice for Cold Brew Matcha and high-grade Matcha latte.
